Sunset Pier 94 Studios

New York, New York

Sunset Pier 94 Studios — Manhattan’s first purpose-built film and TV production studio campus — solidifies New York City as one of the preeminent filming locations for the entertainment industry, while also contributing to the needs of the local community. This Gensler-designed media and production studio project is a public-private partnership between Vornado Realty Trust, Hudson Pacific Properties, Blackstone, the City of New York, and NYCEDC.

Plans for the 266,000-square-foot film and TV studio include six purpose-built soundstages ranging from 10,000 square feet to 20,000 square feet; production control room facilities; production suites; talent and support areas; and workspaces, along with new exterior walkways that extend from the adjacent Clinton Cove Park along the Hudson River and provide public access to the full length of the pier.

Sunset Pier 94 Studios’ strategic location, ample size, and advanced technology will offer unparalleled convenience and adaptability for episodic television, live audience broadcasts, and feature films. The studio is committed to targeting LEED Gold and Fitwel certifications, with a sustainable vision that includes plans for operations to be powered by 100% renewable energy.
